COMPANYHEADQUARTERS

HEADQUARTERS & FACTORY

In 2015, the year of our 60th anniversary, we relocated our headquarters and factory from Ibaraki City, Osaka, where we have been based for more than half a century, to Port Island, Kobe. The head office and factory will serve as our base as we make a fresh start for the next 50 to 60 years. In building this new building, we have proceeded based on three concepts.
THE FIRST IS "AS ONE. IN ADDITION TO THE INTEGRATION OF MULTIPLE FACTORIES, THE CONSOLIDATION OF FACTORY AND HEAD OFFICE FUNCTIONS IS INTENDED TO UNIFY INTENTIONS AND SPEED UP COMMUNICATION AMONG THE VARIOUS SECTIONS, INCLUDING R&D, PRODUCTION, MARKETING, SALES, EDUCATION, AND FINANCE. THIS CONCEPT OF "AS ONE" IS NOT ONLY THE CONCEPT OF THE NEW BUILDING, BUT ALSO ONE OF THE COMPANY'S BASIC MANAGEMENT POLICIES.
The second is to "show (attract) the eye": in addition to the monitor salon on the first floor, a glass-walled observation corridor has been set up in the factory to allow visitors to observe the production process. Not only our customers, but also people from schools and people outside the beauty industry come to see the production process, which is focused on quality.
The third is "Wellbeing = health of mind, body, and environment. The company building is designed to provide a sense of wellbeing with stress-free open windows and spaces, solar power generation on the rooftop, and a vegetable plant at the entrance.
We believe that wellbeing is not only a concept for the new building, but also one of the company's important values and a direction that we should focus on more as a company in the future. As a cosmetics manufacturer, we have already passed the following two international standards in order to manufacture products based on wellbeing.

ISO22716 (GMP)

ISO22716
ISO 22716 is an international standard for manufacturing cosmetics of stable quality. It is also known as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for cosmetics, and is included by many governments as a condition for import approval when importing cosmetics. Strict standards are set for facilities and processes, from the receipt of raw materials and materials to their storage methods, manufacturing, and shipping, to ensure that a high level of quality is maintained on a stable basis. Once a product has passed the inspection, it is subject to annual inspections for renewal. Due to the strict standards, few cosmetics manufacturers in Japan have yet obtained certification, but we recognized the need for this international standard from the design stage of our new plant and have been working to comply with it.

COSMOS (organic international standard )

ISO22716
COSMOS stands for COSMetics of Organic and natural Standard, an international standard for organic certification. Overseas, especially in Europe, there has long been a high awareness of organic and sustainable food and cosmetics, and many certification organizations exist. Consumers judge whether a product is organic or not by looking at the certification marks of these certification organizations. However, the existence of various certification bodies can lead to confusion among consumers, so in 2010, major certification bodies gathered together to create a unified international standard. This is COSMOS. In order for a cosmetic product to be certified under COSMOS, it must be manufactured in a certified factory that meets the COSMOS standards. Unfortunately, there are still few certified organic cosmetics in Japan, and one of the reasons is the lack of certified factories. We acquired the qualification as a COSMOS certified factory in May 2016 so that we can introduce certified genuine domestic organic cosmetics.
